Enhance Your Online Privacy with Privacy Badger Chrome Extension

As the online world becomes increasingly interconnected, protecting your privacy while browsing the internet has become more important than ever. One highly recommended tool to achieve this is the Privacy Badger Chrome extension. With a total rating of 4.41 based on user reviews and approved by EFF.org, one of the leading non-profits fighting for online privacy and anonymity, Privacy Badger offers automatic tracker blocking and a range of privacy protections to keep your data safe.

Privacy Badger works by automatically discovering trackers based on their behavior. Instead of relying on predefined lists, it learns which trackers to block and sends the Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of data sharing and selling. Additionally, it sends the Do Not Track signal to companies, explicitly requesting them not to track your online activities.

One of the standout features of Privacy Badger is its ability to replace potentially useful trackers, such as video players and comment widgets, with click-to-activate placeholders. This allows you to have greater control over which elements on a webpage can track your data. Furthermore, Privacy Badger removes outgoing link click tracking on popular platforms like Facebook and Google, offering even more privacy protections.

If you have any questions or need assistance, Privacy Badger provides a comprehensive FAQ section on their website at [privacybadger.org/#faq](privacybadger.org/#faq). For reporting bugs or seeking technical support, you can reach out to the dedicated team behind Privacy Badger by emailing [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) or by using their GitHub issue tracker at [github.com/EFForg/privacybadger/issues](github.com/EFForg/privacybadger/issues).

Some users may have concerns about the permissions required by Privacy Badger, as it asks for the ability to "read and change all your data on the websites you visit." Rest assured, these permissions are necessary for Privacy Badger to effectively detect and block trackers on all websites. The extension is not spying on your browsing activities. To understand more about the extension's permissions, you can refer to the Privacy Badger extension permissions explainer available on their GitHub page at [github.com/EFForg/privacybadger/blob/master/doc/permissions.md](github.com/EFForg/privacybadger/blob/master/doc/permissions.md).

It's important to note that the extension permissions warnings only cover the access the extension has, not what it actually does with that data. Privacy Badger is committed to never sharing your browsing data unless you choose to share it, such as by filing a broken site report. For more details about how Privacy Badger handles data, you can review EFF's Privacy Policy for Software at [eff.org/code/privacy/policy](eff.org/code/privacy/policy).

By using Privacy Badger, you can enhance your online privacy and enjoy a safer browsing experience without being constantly tracked by unwanted entities. Install Privacy Badger today and take control of your digital footprint.

Been using it for years. All of my stuff, my kids and work computers. I use two other extensions in conjunction with this and the whole web gets cleaned up, and all sorts of things stop happening. I am only writing this review because of the review below from Bobby Jones. I hope Bobby gets some tech help but it ain't this extension. I am not affiliated with nor do I make any money from any of the extensions I use. I feel better when the knuckleheads at work use a station and I have all my parts in place.

Extension will not load. Does nothing. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. The extension does not respond. It does not allow access to configurations. It does not show it's properties. All configuration screens are blank. It's dead Jim.

You barely notice it on memory but it blocks a bunch of trackers. Use this with uBlock, they're best companions.

I can't check out with EBT at Walmart bc it says Blocked By Extension. I disabled it for WM, but it still does it. I have to turn the whole thing off. I'll try disabling on EBT site. I'll know the next time I order. If it still does it, I will find st else

This extension is approved by EFF.org one of the best non-profits fighting for online privacy and anonymity. Privacy Badger has easy to use settings to meet many needs and is easy to turn off when/if required. I appreciated the work this team has done to allow everyone to use the internet without receiving unwanted malicious codes, malware, cookies, tracking, data mining, etc.
